Acer and their agency Fuel were on the hunt for the perfect spokesperson to promote the the new Acer Aspire 5950 Laptop. Waterfront were able to assist with securing Guy Sebastian for the campaign, which captured the fundamental nature of the Acer brand with a healthily dose of personality and vibrancy, gaining the attention of existing and potential Acer consumers alike. Guy was the perfect match for the new top-of-the-line notebook – he has grown to become one of Australia’s favourite performers, and with his trademark soulful style and positive attitude it’s easy to see why!
As well as a successful TVC campaign, Guy Sebastian made three exclusive appearances in Harvey Norman stores in Adelaide, Gold Coast and Sydney to chat about the notebook and perform a brilliant set. The in-store appearances were a great day for driving traffic, sales and awareness for Acer and Harvey Norman, and the up-close-and-personal performance had Guy Sebastian fans filling up the stores and queuing for autographs.
Waterfront ensured that all details of the Guy Sebastian partnership were managed effectively, and with radio advertising, social media promotion and the first-hand support and assistance of director Sean Pickwell at each event, it was a successful experience for all involved.
